Presentations & Workshops

Right now, many parents, guardians, and professionals think that the accommodations approved under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 automatically “follow” students as they move from high school to college. However, the transition from IDEA to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 actually brings about some important changes. This shift might cause some confusion, lead to missed support, and put extra stress on everyone involved.
I’m happy to offer a free presentation or workshop for groups like SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council), non-profit organizations that support disabled students and their families, public school districts, and private schools.
I offer presentations both in person and online, and I collaborate with the organization to tailor the content to what the participants need.
I’d love to chat with you about what you need!
